COVID-19 Club Announcement

3/24/20 update

Hi Parents and Players,

The Coronavirus situation continues to create challenges for all of us. This is something that we are all dealing with, and are all trying our best to navigate. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as things are changing and progressing.

Over the past few days we have all been ordered to shelter in place for 30 days.  While the optimist in me wants to think we will get back to lacrosse sooner rather than later, at this point it looks like we will be postponing all training, practices and games until at least the end of April.  Until then, we hope the situation stabilizes and the health authorities do not need to take any additional actions. Unfortunately we are in a giant waiting period until we really know when we can start planning next steps, dates and details to get on the field. At this point, we are trying our best to still have some sort of spring season. When it will start and finish we do not know quite yet. We are planning multiple different scenarios and options.

We are exploring everything from the potential of playing on Memorial Day Weekend or later, to trying to expand our Summer options.  More details on all of this later as things progress. None of this can be finalized until we are able to better see ahead of when a return to playing could even be a possibility. If the Spring Season continues to be delayed, at some point we will cancel the season and information on credits or refunds would be in order.

I will send out another update next week, March 30th. Until then, keep that stick in your hands (and wash them of course!)!

Attached below is a training packet (click on the hyper links) for the next few weeks. 6 days of training and rest on the 7th. Push yourself, and if you want more, reach out. Do it.

We will be posting videos of training, live streams and more.

I hope to see everyone on the lacrosse field soon!

LFA Families - 3/16/20 announcement

Lou Fusz Athletic will temporarily suspend all sports programming, effective immediately, and will continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19. With the health of our club and the greater St. Louis community in mind, we hope this preventative measure allows us to get back on the field sooner rather than later.

With the recent actions taken by multiple professional sports organizations and recommendations from the public health authorities in the field, we felt to exercise caution was in the best interest of our players, families, and fans.

Thank you for your support during this challenging time. The safety and security of our families will always be highest on our priority list!

We will be evaluating local and national conditions continually to determine when best to resume training and programming. Your coaches and Directors will be reaching out with plans during the time away from the club, and we will send out another club communication the week of March 23rd.
